UN DETALLE COLLECTION
Un Detalle Collection

Reason forces us to keep our feet on the ground, and each one of us, however, encloses within us a bit of madness, which moves us to express our most hidden side. Blue is peace, harmony and tranquility, yet it is also the color for madness. At any time it can surprise us for the rest of our life. I dedicate my Fashion Collection "Un Detalle" to my Great-Granduncle Alfonso Cortés Bendaña and to all the poets of today.

Poetry expresses the writer's feelings, emotions, thoughts and reflections through words. Some poets focus on beauty, love, life or death. Others are able to hear the inaudible and see the invisible, with an unusual poetic talent and an ability for rhythm and image like very few poets. Madness is usually an element that only a few possess and is not necessarily a bad thing, sometimes you can find a genius within that madness.

The dye I obtained it by immersing the fabric in a deep container and allowing the liquid to be absorbed by the fabric. The end result is a subtle gradient shade of a beautiful blue from indigo dye and orange from achiote. The idea is to represent how schizophrenia is as unpredictable as the shades of color appearing in the fabric when it absorbs the dye.

The fabric I used for the dress was originally the bottom sheets of my bed. I decided to give it a second life. This sheets has a very important value to me because it represents the first decision I made when I came to live in Spain for the first time to carry out my university studies. The natural dyes of indigo and achiote were well absorbed by the fabric because it was a 100% cotton.

ZERO WASTE
FACE MASKS

With the fabric that was not used when I made the dress for Un Detalle Collection, I decided to make unisex masks in order for both men and women to use them. Also, I designed them in small, medium and large because I donated them to young people and adults. Each of the masks had a filter bag to protect the user from the virus.

PACKAGING

The packaging is a sustainable, functional and reusable suitcase that serves two functions, it can be used to store the garment or organize papers and documents. It is inspired by the old briefcases from the poet's time, giving them a more serious and respectful look. The materials for the packaging are the compact cardboard for the case, Biobase ink for the logo and the naturally dyed fabric that was left after making the garments for the handle.
